1986 and Sherina Krup of Durga Temple. Sherina Krup has lived in Fairfax County since 1986 and has played a leadership role in many community development programs -- and more recently, in the programs of the Durga Temple to support senior citizens. On December 7, 2009, Sherina Krup received a Recognition Award from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors for the leadership role that Durga Temple has played in developing the innovative Burke/Springfield Senior Center Without Walls (BSSCWoW). Durga Temple was the first Hindu Dharam temple, recognized and awarded such an award.
